According to the processing methods, the currently used medical protective clothing fabrics can be divided into three categories: high density woven fabrics, multilayer composite fabrics and nonwovens. In China, the traditional cotton fabric is still the main fabric of medical protective clothing, but it can not block the penetration of blood, so it is difficult to protect medical personnel from the infection of blood borne bacteria. Therefore, medical protective clothing fabric used to protect medical staff from blood borne pathogens has become a hot spot of development.

According to the characteristics of a large number of tiny nipples on the surface of lotus leaf, a natural high liquid repellent material, and covered with a layer of wax film, this new type of medical protective clothing fabric uses certain fabric structure to form concave convex surface structure, and uses the fluffy loop formed by fiber shrinkage to maintain more air, so as to increase the liquid repellent performance of the composite surface. Then, the liquid repellent finishing agent is used to further improve the liquid repellency of the fabric. In order to obtain good comprehensive properties, the fabric is composed of an outer layer of liquid repellent layer, an intermediate moisture absorption layer and an inner moisture conducting layer.
